Looking up at the bottom of the Ocean
When looking up at the bottom of the ocean in caverns, one can imagine what life once lived their millions of years ago. It is fascinating to see the unique features that each cavern is composed of.
I am conducting research over specific cave bacons, speleothems, curtains, flow- stones, cave pearls, and dripstones which can be found in caverns. These features down below captivate one’s attention due to the textures that are displayed in the subtle light.
My intentions for this exploration are to conduct research over these specific features. I will be creating installations inspired by these features as my honors Capstone project.
